Our History
The corporate symbol
From 1990, a corporate denomination of integration was chosen: Caja España, in a clear line of functionality and future, transmitting a unique and differential style, which reinforces its image and helps to make our organization more effective. Our symbol - the bull - with a clearly strong, modern and innovative design which allows a strong visual and attractive style, has been chosen because it represents force and dynamism and because it is narrowly linked to the cultural inheritance of our country.
The consolidation
CAJA ESPAÑA is today the first financial institution in Castilla and León and one of the banking leaders in Spain. It has an advanced computer system that covers the financial needs of more than 1.563.314 customers, with resources totalling (on December 31, 2009) 23.419 million Euros, 605 branches located in most of the Spanish territory, 746 ATMs and a staff of 3.230 people.
